§ Canon daily recipe
Amber Dusk Concrete
Designed for urban architecture photography during the last hour of summer daylight, this recipe captures the way warm evening sun rakes across concrete facades, glass curtain walls, and steel structures. The elevated contrast carves out hard geometric shadows while the boosted warm color tone bathes sunlit surfaces in a rich amber-bronze glow. Saturation is kept restrained so the warmth feels baked-in rather than oversaturated — giving the final image a cinematic, almost filmic quality reminiscent of late-1970s architectural photography. Best used shooting west- or south-facing buildings between 6–8 PM on clear summer evenings. Works equally well for modern glass towers, brutalist concrete blocks, and terracotta-clad civic buildings.
